Over a half mile of Oktoberfest deliciousness, custom-designed for you!

When is Oktoberfest?

Lovettsville celebrates Oktoberfest at the traditional time of year:  the last full weekend of September.

How much does it cost?

Free admission.

Free parking.

Free shuttles.

Free music.

Free dancing.

Free Kinderfest.

Free beer!

(Well, OK, Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control won't allow us to give the beer away, but the rest of the Oktoberfest experience IS all free!  Stroll through the street vendors, enjoy Kinderfest, enjoy all the music at any of the venues with no charge!  Buy what you like from the vendors, buy as much food and drink as you can hold; but the rest of the festival is on us!)

What should you expect at Lovettsville's Oktoberfest?

A full schedule is available on our website HERE!

Friday features our Kick-off dinner -a home-cooked German feast- cooked and served by the Lovettsville Lions Club at the Community Center (57 East Broad Way) from 5:00-7:30.  At the Main Tent (6 E. Pennsylvania Ave.) Friday night is when we celebrate Rock-toberfest, with music and beer from 7:00-11:00, and home-cooked food from the Lovettsville Game Club available from 7:00-9:00.  The highlight of Friday's entertainment is the incredible music of Ghost Pepper and the Bohemian Rhapsody Sing-along (the Officials at the Guinness Book of World Records said last year that we were 104,300 people short of the current record, so we are going to try for it again this year.)

Saturday is when you want to come if you are looking for the full Oktoberfest experience.  Over 120 street vendors will be set up throughout the streets of Lovettsville...in Old Town (Pennsylvania Avenue), in "New Town" (on the Town Square), and in-between (inside the Town Square)...over a half-mile of vendors!  The Main Tent at 6 East Pennsylvania Ave. features traditional music and dancing all day, and more modern music starting at 5:00.  Beer and food will be available at the Main Tent from 10AM-11:30PM, check out our Food & Drink page for full details.  For the Kids, Kinderfest has finally found a permanent home on the Town Green (11 Spring Farm Drive) and has been COMPLETELY re-engineered this year.  We offer you Free carnival games, Free inflatable rides, Free magic shows, Free climbing wall, Free pony rides, Free face-painting, Free Henna art, Free interactive sports activities, and Free live entertainment in the Walker Pavilion from 10-5 on Saturday.

Sunday, things quiet down, but just a little bit.  The tent at the Town Green will feature a church service by New Jerusalem Lutheran Church!  Starting at Noon, the students from Loudoun Music Instruction will entertain us in the Main Tent throughout the afternoon; bring your own food (or pick something up from one of our local restaurants) and join us to celebrate these talented young musicians.

On all three days of the Fest, Lovettsville's downtown restaurants will feature special beer, food, and entertainment: Andy's Restaurant, Bonnie's Country KitchenLovettsville Pizza & SubsMad Horse Brewpub, Market Table Bistro, and Thaiverse Restaurant.

Again, please check out our full schedule...there's just too much to summarize!

What is new this year?

To accommodate the ever-increasing traffic on our narrow streets, we have come up with a completely new layout!  The Beer Garden will stay exactly where it's been.  Broad Way will be open to traffic, Locust and Loudoun Streets will be closed to traffic.  Street vendors will move to Pennsylvania Avenue, Town Square, and the Town Green...spread out over half of a mile, bridging "New" Town and "Old" Town.

What is Kinderfest?

Kinderfest is part of the Lovettsville Oktoberfest celebration.  We've expanded this year and finally moved to a permanent location. Situated on the Town Green (11 Spring Farm Drive), this year's Kinderfest will feature its own beer tent, food vendors, entertainment at the Walker Pavilion and a host of free activities for children.  Free activities, range in age from toddler to teen, and include carnival games, sports games, pony rides, face painting, inflatables, and climbing wall.  We do have a trolley stop and will have crossing guards on Berlin Turnpike to allow for safe participation throughout the festival.

Can i bring my pet?

Pets are not allowed in the Beer Garden or any other food establishment.  Pets are allowed on the streets, but are discouraged because of the extremely high number of pedestrians on our narrow streets.  If you choose to bring your pet, we trust you will be responsible to clean up any messes.

where should i absolutely not park?

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office will STRICTLY enforce no parking on Loudoun Street, Locust Street, and East Broad Way.  Cars parked here will be towed. Seriously.  After a long day of Oktoberfesting, the last thing you want to do is come back and find your car has been towed.  Please park in our FREE lots and ride our FREE trolley, which runs until Midnight on Saturday.

Where is handicapped parking?

Handicapped parking is available next to the trolley stops at the Lovettsville Game Protective Association (16 South Berlin Pike).  Please refer to the map below.

Where is Lovettsville, and where is this "Free Parking"?
